Thank you very much for your letter answering my question.  It is also very
pleasant to realize that doctors who care more about helping people that about
proper billing still exist in this country. Thank you again for everything you
are doing. Sincerely, A Chanturiya  21 Mar 2007

Having just completed fellowship and feeling "alone" it's wonderful to know that you're "out there" willing to hold our hands and guide us along!! On behalf of all "post fellows" learning the ropes, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!! K H, MD

Dear Thyroid Disease Manager Team,
I am a medical student in London and I feel compelled to write to you to
thank whomever is responsible for the Thyroid Disease Manager Web site.
It is the most amazing, thorough, easily negotiable and all round
fabulous site I have come across for anything medical. Thank you, thank
you, thank you!!! I have emailed all my coursemates to get them to use
it too.

I notice you are sponsored by Abbott - I promise to buy/use/prescribe
what ever it is they do/make in gratitude!!!

You have done more for my knowledge of thyroid problems in the last 4
hours than I could possibley have learned from the various books I have
consulted in days.

I particularly like the summary sections of each chapter. In fact, I
tended to read these first, and then go in and read the rest of the
chapter (or the bits relevant to my learning objectives). If I had to
offer any suggestions for improvements, the summary in the immunology
chapter was very different to the rest. It was not a summary of the
chapter, but more a kind of epitaph.

I hope your idea catches on for other specialties/diseases.

Your most thankfully,
J D

It has been a real pleasure to find out this page and the thyroid and your book. For me, in Bolivia, it is very difficult to get access to the Medical literature.Thank you very much for your efforts!!  Regards.   Instituto Nacional de Medicina Nuclear. La Paz - Bolivia

Thank you. I had my thyroid completely removed in 1987. It change my life
forever. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you being on the web.

I have a long-standing side interest in thyroid pathophysiology, especially
as it affects CNS function relevant to psychiatric illness. My first focused
readings in this area came during a medical student clerkship at the NIH
almost 20 years ago. In 1999 I was asked to prepare a lecture on this topic.
Many hours of reading, reviewing, and writing went into that lecture, as you
can well imagine.
Just recently I have been asked to give this lecture once again. In some
ways it was easier to write the entire lecture from scratch, rather than
review what I've written and decide what is still up to date, as my usual
reading does not include much of the ongoing thyroid literature.
This work has been made much easier by my fortuitous discovery of the
Thyroid Disease Manager. What a wonderful piece of work! Several of my
questions--issues unclear in my original lecture, new concerns developed
over the past few years--were quickly and authoritatively answered by TDM.
Thank you for placing this very valuable resource on the web.
Sincerely,
J W, 6/12/01

I am a medical editor ---I regularly research medicine on the web and this site is by far one of the most intelligently constructed and comprehensive I have encountered. The
information on ultrasound was straightforward and comprehensible and
answered all my questions.---
Thank you for this impressive and wonderful site. I only wish there were
others like it in other specialties.

Dear Dr. Hennemann, Dr. De Groot, and thyroid specialists contributing or working for Thyroid Disease Manager.org. This is the first time I read the 'News'.I don't have medical background but I have thyrtoxicosis. ( I had tried to read some of the book chapters). The sites offer far much more than my doctor told me. After reading the articles in the site and including the "news" [on the relationship between hypothyroidism and fetus' IQ..I  am glad that i didn't opt for taking the radioactive iodine or the operation. (well, I am on the propylthiouracil - I am a 33 y.o. woman)  Thanks for the site and researche and effort and kind thoughts and everyone who contributes. THANKS everyone ! May joy, peace, wealth, health, luck & love be with you.
